Through the gate to the south of the main entrance of the Mosque of Ibn Tulun is the Gayer-Anderson Museum. This odd little museum is named after John Gayer-Anderson, a British major and army doctor who restored two adjacent 16th century houses between 1935 and 1942. He filled them with all sorts of beautiful things he acquired during his travels in the region also there are another Mosques such as Museum of Moderen Egyptian Art which located in beautidul Gezira exhibition and Egyptain Railways Museum which located at the end of ramses station also Police Museum which is inside the old perison Building
Historical Significance
The Gayer-Anderson Museum is famous not only for its collection but also for being a filming location in the James Bond movie "The Spy Who Loved Me".
