Itinerary

  • Arrive in Riyadh after overnight flight from the UK via Dubai

  • Arrive in Riyadh after overnight flight from the UK via Dubai. A private car will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for breakfast. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and get ready for the adventures ahead.

  • Start the day with a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Diriyah the birthplace of the Saudi royal family. Visit Masmak Fort a 19th century mud brick fortress that was key to Saudi Arabia’s unification and Dira Souq, where you can find Bedouin jewelry traditional dresses and antique copper and brass items. Lunch at a local village. In the afternoon visit the National Museum and finish the day with a panoramic dinner at the Kingdom Tower Sky Bridge with stunning views of Riyadh.

  • Before flying to Al-Ula visit the King Faisal Centre for Research and Islamic Studies to see their impressive collection of Saudi and Islamic artifacts. After lunch at a local restaurant head to the airport for your evening flight to Al-Ula. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

  • Visit Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site and the second largest city of the Nabataean Kingdom after Petra. See the impressive rock-cut tombs, including Qasr al Farid, or the lonely castle. Then a four-wheel drive will take you to Dadan home to the ancient Lion Tombs. Finish the day at the Elephant Rock for a sunset and then back to your hotel for dinner.

  • Visit the Old City of Al-Ula a maze of abandoned mud-and-stone buildings with the ancient Musa Bin Nusayr castle overlooking it. Then fly to Jeddah and arrive in time for lunch at your hotel. Visit the Abdul Raouf Khalil Museum to learn about Saudi heritage. Finish the day with dinner on Jeddah’s Corniche and see King Fahd’s Fountain, the world’s tallest fountain.

  • More of Jeddah today. Visit the open air Sculpture Museum and the iconic Al Rahma Mosque, the  floating mosque over the Red Sea. Lunch and some rest then visit Jeddah’s old town Al Balad , UNESCO site and home to historic buildings. Visit Alawi Market, the largest souk in the country and finish the day with your last dinner in the desert kingdom.

  • Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight back to the UK via Dubai.
