Then proceed to the Christian town of Madaba, where you find the famous mosaic 6th century map of Palestine in St. George’s church. After that continue to visit Mt. Nebo, the place where Prophet Moses gazed at the promised land before he died and alleged to be his burial place, visit an old monastery; overlook the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea and parts of the Holy Land.
Then continue to Mukawer (Machaerus), the former stronghold of Herod Antipas, which is the place where Herod had ordered the incarceration of St. John the Baptist after the fateful dance of Salome. After finishing your tour, ETB Tours Egypt representative will transfer you to your hotel in Amman.
