Start the day by visiting the churches in old Coptic Cairo. Visit the Hanging Church which is hanging from the ancient Babylon fortress and the Church of St. Barbara. Then visit the 4th-century Church of Abu Serga (St. Sergius & Bacchus), the Jewish Synagogue and the Coptic Museum. Back to the hotel for overnight in Cairo.
Visit the Coptic Monasteries in Wadi El Natrun desert. Highlight of the day is the Paramus Monastery where St. Macarius the Great settled in 340 AD and still inhabited by monks. Back to the hotel for overnight in Cairo.
Visit the Coptic Monasteries of St. Antony and St. Paul in the Eastern Desert at the foot of the Red Sea Mountains. St. Antony is considered one of the founders of Christian monasticism and St. Paul was one of the first hermits. Both monasteries are from 4th and 5th century and still active. Back to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.
Visit the Church of the Holy Virgin with three domes in Maadi by the Nile. Then visit the Monastery of St. Simon the Tanner in Mokattam Mountain on the outskirts of Cairo.
