Expand allDay 1: Abu Simbel – Kasr Ibrim
Your sai dahabiya nile cruise begins after visiting the extraordinary temples of Ramses II and Nefertari at Abu Simbel, masterpieces of ancient Egyptian architecture.
Once on board the SAI Dahabiya, enjoy lunch while sailing for four hours toward Kasr Ibrim.
This ancient citadel, transformed into a fortress during the Ottoman period, is the only monument on Lake Nasser left untouched in its original location.
Relax and enjoy dinner in one of the peaceful creeks of the region.
Overnight on board.
Day 2: Amada – Pennout – Wadi El Arab
After breakfast, we sail along Lake Nasser, passing seasonal flocks of migratory birds. Our morning visits include:

Amada Temple – one of Nubia’s most fascinating temples.

El Derr – a rock-cut temple built by Ramses II.

Pennout Tomb – transported block by block from Aniba.
Return to the SAI Dahabiya for lunch.
We then sail through the scenic mountains of Korousko and drop anchor in Wadi El Arab, one of Nubia’s largest valleys.
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3: Dakka – Wadi El Seboua – Meharraqa
Today’s focus is on three beautifully relocated temples:

Dakka – built by Ergamenes II and Ptolemy II.

Wadi El Seboua – accessed via an impressive avenue of sphinxes.

Meharraqa – featuring a unique spiral design.
Lunch served on board as we sail past Abu Steta, known for golden dunes and exotic birdlife.
Later, the SAI Dahabiya reaches one of the calm bays along Lake Nasser for a peaceful evening.

Day 4: Kalabsha – Beit El Wali – Aswan
Breakfast is served while we sail north toward Aswan, enjoying panoramic views of the lake’s shores.
We stop to visit:

Kalabsha Temple – originally dedicated to Mandulis and later relocated.

Beit El Wali – a beautiful rock-cut temple from the time of Ramses II.
After a final swim in the lake (optional), your Lake Nasser Cruise concludes upon arrival in Aswan.

Day 1: Aswan – Kalabsha – Ghazal
Your SAI Dahabiya Lake Nasser Cruise begins in Aswan, where you board the boat and start sailing south towards the famous temples of Kalabsha and Beit El Wali.
As we glide across the lake, enjoy a relaxing lunch on board while taking in uninterrupted desert and Nubian landscapes.

Kalabsha Temple: Originally located in ancient Kalabsha city, built in the Roman era and later saved and relocated to its new site.

Beit El Wali: A beautiful rock-cut temple carved during the reign of Ramses II.
By sunset, the SAI Dahabiya anchors at Khour El Ghazal, a peaceful bay ideal for a magical dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Wadi El Seboua – Dakka – Meharraqa
After breakfast, we continue the journey deeper into Lake Nasser, exploring some of the most impressive UNESCO-relocated temples.
Along the way we pass the golden dunes of Abu Steta and Maria, areas known for their seasonal flocks of pelicans, flamingos, cormorants, and other exotic birds.
We stop to visit:

Wadi El Seboua – famous for its avenue of sphinxes dedicated to Amun-Re and Ra.

Dakka (Pselchis) – built by the Nubian king Ergamenes II and Ptolemy II, later expanded by Roman emperors.

Meharraqa – known for its unique architectural elements.
After lunch on board, the SAI Dahabiya sails to the tranquil bay of Wadi El Arab, then continues towards Amada, passing small fishermen’s houses and, occasionally, sun-bathing Nile crocodiles.
Enjoy a peaceful sunset and a warm dinner on board.
Overnight in Amada.
Day 3: Amada – Pennout – El Derr
This morning we explore three important Nubian monuments:

Temple of Amada – one of the oldest and best-preserved temples in Nubia, built by Thutmose III and Amenhotep II.

Temple of El Derr – a rock-cut temple of Ramses II, later transformed into a Coptic church.

Tomb of Pennout – carefully moved block by block from its original village of Aniba.
Return to the SAI Dahabiya for lunch before continuing our Lake Nasser Cruise towards the historic site of Kasr Ibrim.
Dinner and overnight near Kasr Ibrim.
Day 4: Kasr Ibrim – Abu Simbel
After breakfast, we visit Kasr Ibrim, the only monument on Lake Nasser that still stands in its original location. Over the centuries, it served as a religious, military, and cultural hub through Egyptian, Christian, Islamic, and Ottoman eras.
We sail through the Masmas region, home to several Nubian villages, until the breathtaking temples of Abu Simbel rise on the horizon.
In the evening, you may attend the optional Sound & Light Show at the temples.

Day 5: Abu Simbel – Check-out
After breakfast, check out from the SAI Dahabiya.
This morning is devoted to a full guided visit of the magnificent Abu Simbel Temples of Ramses II and Queen Nefertari.
These colossal masterpieces, carved directly into the mountain in the 13th century BC, are among Egypt’s most iconic and beautiful monuments.
