Itinerary

Day 1: Luxor

  • Welcome aboard your dahabiya.
  • dinner and overnight stay on board your dahabiya

Day 2: Luxor – Esna – El Hegz

  • Breakfast and start of the cruise to Esna.
  • upon arrival visit the Temple of Esna specified to Khnum and Neith.
  • return to your dahabiya for lunch
  • continue the cruise to the island of El Hegz where the boat will stop for the night
  • Dinner and overnight stay on board your dahabiya.

Day 3: El Hegz – Edfu – Bisaw

  • Breakfast, then cruise to Edfu.
  • Upon arrival enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride to the Temple of Horus further inland.
  • After the visit return to the ship for lunch.
  • continue the cruise to Bisaw island where the dahabiya will stop for night
  • Free time to stroll around the island and dinner on the shore
  • Overnight on board.

Day 4: Gabal El Silsila – Kom Ombo – Aswan

  • Breakfast and departure for the visit of Gabal Silsila, both an archaeological site and the largest sandstone quarry in Egypt.
  • Lunch on board and discovery on foot of the ancient quarry.
  • Continue the cruise to Kom Ombo.
  • view the temple dedicated to two gods: Sobek the crocodile in the south and Horus the falcon in the north
  • Get back on the boat which will bring us to Aswan for our evening meal.
  • Overnight on board.

Day 5: Aswan

  • Breakfast on board then departure for a visit to the Temple of Philae on the island of Agilka one of the most beautiful sanctuaries in Egypt.
  • After Philae, the visits continue with the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk.
  • In the granite quarry, you'll find the largest obelisk known to date (41.75 m), whose carving was abandoned following a crack in the rock.
  • Enjoy lunch on the dahabiya
  • optional sound and light show is offered in the evening at the Philae Temple.
  • Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 6: Aswan – Esna

  •  Breakfast and a free morning in the city.
  •  Optional excursions by bus to visit the temple of Abu Simbel, built by Ramses II.
  •  get to back to Aswan for lunch.
  •  Continue your cruise to Esna where you will arrive overnight
  •  dinner and overnight stay on board your dahabiya

Day 7: Esna – Luxor

  • Breakfast, then departure by coach for the visit of the necropolis of Thebes on the west bank of the Nile.
  • visit the valley of the kings and the valley of the queens
  • Continue the visits with the Colossi of Memnon last vestiges of the temple of Amenhotep III, and Deir el Bahari, the funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut.
  • after visiting temples, have lunch on the dahabiya.
  • venture to the south of Ancient Thebes on the east bank in the afternoon to see the Karnak and Luxor temples
  • In the evening enjoy an optional sound and light show at the Karnak Temple.
  • Dinner and overnight stay on board your dahabiya.

Day 8: Luxor

  • You will have breakfast and until transfer, where you’ll head to Luxor airport
